Strangely Flamengo outrebounded Sao Paulo 38-22 including a 15-2 advantage in offensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. American guard Malcolm Miller (201-1991, college: Southern) notched 23 points and 4 assists to lead the effort and the former international point guard Henrique Coelho (184-1993) supported him with 18 points and 5 assists. Even a double-double of 12 points, 5 rebounds and 10 assists by the former international point guard Ricardo Fischer (183-1991) did not help to save the game for Flamengo. The former international guard Gui Pereira (192-1991) added 11 points and 9 rebounds for the guests. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures.
