The game between Top Four teams took place in San Francisco. 4th ranked host Indios (4-4) lost to third ranked Leones (5-2) 83-71. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Indios. Leones dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Indios' 40. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Jean Quezada who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) and point guard Jaison Valdez (188-1995) who added 11 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. At the losing side American forward JD Miller (203-1996, college: TCU) responded with 11 points and 9 rebounds and naturalized Italian point guard Yancarlos Rodriguez (189-1994) scored 12 points and 7 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Defending champion maintains third position with 5-2 record having 2 victories less than leader Caneros. Indios at the other side dropped to the fifth place with four games lost. Leones' supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Santo Domingo to the arena Soles.
