The game between closely ranked teams ended with fourth ranked Cangrejeros' (16-14) road victory over 5th ranked Grises (12-18) 100-85 on Tuesday. Cangrejeros dominated down low during the game scoring 72 of its points in the paint compared to Grises' 42. They outrebounded Grises 49-20 including a 33-13 advantage in defensive rebounds. Mali power forward Cheick Diallo (206-1996, college: Kansas) fired a double-double by scoring 25 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. The former international forward Angel Matias (194-1992, college: Georgia South) chipped in 22 points and 6 rebounds. American guard Gabriel Belardo (188-1989, college: FIU) produced 20 points and his fellow American import point guard Travis Trice II (183-1993, college: Michigan St.) added 15 points and 7 assists respectively for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Cangrejeros moved-up to third place. Loser Grises keep the fifth position with 18 games lost. Cangrejeros will meet at home league's leader Vaqueros in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Grises will have a break next round.
