There was no surprise in Oruro where 10th ranked La Paz (2-8) was crushed by seventh ranked Carl A-Z (5-5) 121-56 on Tuesday. Carl A-Z dominated down low during the game scoring 70 of its points in the paint compared to La Paz's 36. Carl A-Z forced 22 La Paz turnovers and outrebounded them 64-21 including a 18-7 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 31 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by La Paz's players. Argentinian center Diego Romero (206-1982, college: FSU) had a double-double by scoring 29 points, 26 rebounds and 5 assists to lead the charge for the winners and American-Nigerian forward Sidney Umude (201-1995, college: Southern) chipped in 19 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. Five Carl A-Z players scored in double figures. Claudio Gonzales (193-2004) responded with 19 points and Cuban center Dariel Maza (-1991) scored 13 points and 5 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Carl A-Z moved-up to fifth place, which they share with CAN Oruro. La Paz lost sixth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with eight games lost.
