Rather expected game in Antioquia where 4th placed Escuela (2-5) was crushed by leader Indeportes (8-0) 86-55 on Thursday. Indeportes dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Escuela's 28. Indeportes forced 20 Escuela turnovers. The former international forward Yuliany Paz (195-2000) fired 13 points and 7 rebounds (perfect from the field making all six shots) for the winners. Forward Maria Salguedo (168-2005) chipped in 10 points and 4 assists. Four Indeportes players scored in double figures. Indeportes' coach Luis Cuenca felt very confident using entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The former international Yuli Viveros (-2001) produced 17 points and 8 rebounds and Rosana Arboleda (-1993) added 9 points and 9 rebounds respectively for lost side. The victory was the eighth consecutive win for Indeportes. Defending champion maintains first place with 8-0 record. Newly promoted Escuela keeps the fourth position with five games lost. Indeportes will meet Azucareras (#5) in the next round. Escuela will play against the league's second-placed Caldas and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
