An interesting game for Piratas (20-10) which hosted in Quebradillas second-best Atleticos (18-11). First ranked Piratas managed to get a 8-point victory 81-73. Piratas had a 33-22 advantage in offensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American center Hassan Whiteside (213-1989, college: Marshall) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 27 points, 12 rebounds and 5 blocks and the former international guard Tyquan Rolon (192-1995, college: LeMoyne) who added 13 points, 6 rebounds and 11 assists during the contest. Four Piratas players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American forward Rondae Hollis-Jefferson (201-1995, college: Arizona) with a double-double by scoring 21 points, 12 rebounds and 6 assists and the former international center Jorge Bryan Diaz (210-1989, college: Nebraska) scored 12 points and 6 rebounds. Atleticos' coach rotated twelve players in this game, but that didn't help. Piratas maintains first position with 20-10 record. Atleticos at the other side keep the second place with 11 games lost. Piratas will play against Osos (#6) in Manati in the next round where they are favorite. Atleticos will play at home against the league's leader Vaqueros (#1) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
