We could consider it a predictable result in the game between close teams when sixth ranked Cariduros (13-19) beat 5th ranked Grises (12-19) in Humacao 106-91 on Friday. Cariduros shot the lights out from three sinking 17 long-distance shots on high 53.1 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. The winners were led by American guard Archie Goodwin (196-1994, college: Kentucky) who scored that evening 17 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists and the former international point guard Ivan Gandia-Rosa (185-1997, college: UNF, agency: Octagon Europe) supported him with 23 points and 4 assists. Even a double-double of 18 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists by American swingman James Ennis (201-1990, college: LBSU) did not help to save the game for Grises. His fellow American import point guard Travis Trice II (183-1993, college: Michigan St.) added 25 points and 7 assists. Five Cariduros and four Grises players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Cariduros have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to fifth place. Loser Grises dropped to the sixth position with 19 games lost. Cariduros will meet at home league's second-placed Atleticos in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Grises will play against Gigantes (#4) in Carolina and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
