The game between closely ranked teams ended with top-ranked Guerreros' (9-0) road victory over second-ranked Cundinamarca (4-5) 57-29 on Friday. Guerreros held Cundinamarca to an opponent 24.5 percent shooting from the field compared to 32.9 percent accuracy of the winners. Guerreros forced 31 Cundinamarca turnovers. The winners were led by the former international power forward Wendy Coy (178-1998) who scored that evening 12 points and 7 rebounds and forward Gabriela Chivata (165-2002) supported her with 11 points and 5 rebounds. Even 6 points and 7 rebounds by center Erika Escobar (-1992) did not help to save the game for Cundinamarca. Forward Isabella Mosquera (180-2004) added 9 points and 5 rebounds for the hosts. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Guerreros have an impressive nine-game winning streak. Despite that victory Guerreros went down to second position due to points difference. Cundinamarca lost fourth consecutive game.
