Regular Season Round 9: Guerreros - Caqueta 60-51

The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Guerreros as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Guerreros defeated 4th placed Caqueta in Bogota 60-51. Guerreros forced 30 Caqueta turnovers. Strangely Caqueta outrebounded Guerreros 46-21 including a 29-14 advantage in defensive rebounds. Nathalie Contreras stepped up and scored 15 points for the winners and center Maria Garcia (180-2004) chipped in 10 points and 5 steals. Four Guerreros players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was Mederith Venner with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 19 rebounds and center Angely Mendez (175-2000) produced a double-double by scoring 10 points and 11 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Guerreros (10-0) have an impressive series of ten victories in a row. As mentioned above they are alone now at the top position. Newly promoted Caqueta dropped to the second place with five games lost.
