An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Santurce. Second ranked Mets faced one of their biggest challengers Cangrejeros. Guests from Guaynabo (18-14) defeated host Cangrejeros (17-17) 103-96. Mets players were unselfish on offense dishing 27 assists. The former international point guard Gary Browne (185-1993, college: WVU) orchestrated the victory by scoring 26 points and 9 assists. American power forward DeMarcus Cousins (211-1990, college: Kentucky) contributed with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. American forward Kenneth Faried (203-1989, college: Morehead St., agency: Shark Sports Management) replied with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 15 rebounds and the former international guard Alfonso Plummer (185-1997, college: Illinois) added 25 points in the effort for Cangrejeros. Four Mets and five Cangrejeros players scored in double figures. Mets maintains second position with 18-14 record having five points less than leader Quebradillas. Cangrejeros lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the third place with 17 games lost. Mets will play against league's second-placed Atleticos in San German in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Cangrejeros will play at home against the league's leader Piratas and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
