Another interesting game was again a derby between two local teams from Santiago: Stadio Italiano (#4) and Boston College (#7). Boston College was defeated at home 72-78 and even the fact of playing on their own court did not help. Stadio Italiano forced 19 Boston College turnovers. The winners were led by forward Gaston Fernandez (-1999) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 30 points and 15 rebounds and forward Vicente Schulz (-2002) supported him with 18 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. Even a double-double of 17 points, 15 rebounds and 4 assists by point guard Cristobal Ordonez (195-2004) did not help to save the game for Boston College. Lucas Marquez (196) added 11 points and 15 rebounds for the hosts. Four Boston College players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Stadio Italiano (4-3) moved-up to third place. Loser Boston College keeps the seventh position with six games lost. They share it with Tomas L.. Stadio Italiano's supporters look forward to another derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Santiago Sergio Ceppi.
