The game between closely ranked teams ended with 5th ranked Soles' (7-8) road loss to fourth ranked Indios (9-7) 84-102 on Saturday. Indios dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Soles' 38. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Luismal Ferreiras (197-2003) had a double-double by scoring 23 points, 12 rebounds and 4 blocks to lead the charge for the winners and American guard Ramon Galloway (190-1991, college: La Salle) chipped in 17 points, 6 rebounds and 9 assists during the contest. Four Indios players scored in double figures. At the losing side naturalized American Gerardo Suero (196-1989, college: Albany) responded with 21 points and 5 rebounds and forward Anyeuri Castillo (201-1997, college: USC Aiken) scored 20 points. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Indios maintains fourth position with 9-7 record. Soles lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the sixth place with eight games lost. Indios will meet Titanes (#5) in the next round. Soles will play against Caneros in La Romana and hope to secure a win.
