Mets dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Capitanes' 32. The former international point guard Gary Browne (185-1993, college: WVU) notched 24 points, 9 rebounds and 8 assists to lead the effort and American power forward DeMarcus Cousins (211-1990, college: Kentucky) supported him with 20 points and 8 rebounds. Even 16 points by Dominican Victor Liz (190-1986) did not help to save the game for Capitanes. The former international swingman David Huertas (196-1987, college: Ole Miss) added 15 points for the hosts. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
