A very close game took place in La Vega between Indios and Reales. First ranked Indios (12-8) got a very close victory on the road over 3rd ranked Reales (11-8). Indios managed to escape with a 2-point win 83-81 on Monday evening. It was a key game for the second position in the league. Americans were the main players on the court. The best player for the winners was forward JD Miller (203-1996, college: TCU) who had a double-double by scoring 23 points, 10 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals. Guard Ramon Galloway (190-1991, college: La Salle) chipped in 11 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists. Forward Raphiael Putney (207-1990, college: UMass) produced a double-double by scoring 19 points, 12 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 blocks and center Earl Watson (201-1990, college: URI) added 11 points and 6 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Indios have a solid four-game winning streak. Despite that victory Indios went down to second position due to points difference, which they share with Caneros. Reales lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the fourth place with eight games lost.
