International point guard Tremont Waters (180-1998, college: LSU, agency: Shark Sports Management) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 24 points, 5 rebounds and 15 assists. American Mike Scott (203-1988, college: Virginia) contributed with 29 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Gigantes' coach Carlos Gonzalez used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American power forward DeMarcus Cousins (211-1990, college: Kentucky) replied with a double-double by scoring 24 points, 11 rebounds and 7 assists and the former international point guard Gary Browne (185-1993, college: WVU) added 13 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists in the effort for Mets. Four Gigantes and five Mets players scored in double figures.
