Very predictable result when eleventh ranked O.Mundial (5-6) rolled over bottom-ranked Lagomar (2-9) in Montevideo 97-75 on Friday. Panamanian-American point guard Trevor Gaskins (188-1989, college: Louisiana Tech, agency: Pro Sports) notched 30 points and 4 assists to lead the effort and forward Emilio Taboada (191-1982, agency: Pro Sports) supported him with 15 points. Even a double-double of 26 points and 11 rebounds by forward Federico Haller (200-1988) did not help to save the game for Lagomar. Naturalized Argentinian Diego Pena (195-1996) added 11 points and 8 rebounds for the guests. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. O.Mundial moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Welcome and Stockolmo. Loser Lagomar stay at the bottom position with nine games lost. O.Mundial will meet higher ranked Sayago (#6) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Lagomar's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Montevideo Miramar.
