Regular Season Round 2: Brumas - UNI Basket 80-50

UNI Basket recorded a loss in Jinotega. Visitors were rolled over by Brumas 80-50. Brumas outrebounded UNI Basket 50-33 including a 31-20 advantage in offensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. American power forward Amir Warnock (206-1995, college: KWC) had a double-double by scoring 16 points and 15 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and the former international Kevin Andino (186-2002) chipped in 27 points and 4 steals during the contest. Four Brumas players scored in double figures. Point guard Kamil Herrera (-2004) responded with 15 points and 8 rebounds and forward Webeans Moody (-2001) scored 10 points and 6 rebounds. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Brumas will play against Caribbean Coast in Managua in the next round and it may be the game of the week. UNI Basket will play on the road against Indigenas in Matagalpa to get more than just one victory in their record.
