There was a small surprise in Montevideo where Miramar beat Lagomar 68-58 on Tuesday. The best player for the winners was Argentinian power forward Gonzalo Torres (201-1994) who had a double-double by scoring 12 points and 18 rebounds. Venezuelan swingman Raymond Rada (194-1997) chipped in a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds. Forward Federico Haller (200-1988) produced a double-double by scoring 16 points and 14 rebounds and point guard Pierino Rusch (183-1999) added 10 points and 4 assists respectively for the guests. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Miramar will meet Colon on the road in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Lagomar's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Montevideo Stockolmo.
