Very significant was LMMR 2's 22-point road victory against San Miguel 80-58. LMMR 2 dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to San Miguel's 24. Dominican swingman Yadira Polanco (178-1992) notched a double-double by scoring 20 points and 23 rebounds to lead the effort and Yenniffer Pena supported her with 19 points and 8 rebounds. Four LMMR 2 players scored in double figures. LMMR 2's coach felt very confident using entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Even a double-double of 17 points, 12 rebounds, 6 assists and 5 steals by Dominican guard Genesis Evangelista (180-1993) did not help to save the game for San Miguel. Point guard Zabdi Rivera (170-2002) added 18 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals for the hosts.
