The most exciting game was a derby match between two local teams from Santa Tecla: Santa Tecla F1 (#2) and Santa Tecla Elite (#4). Santa Tecla Elite was crushed at home by 55 points 30-85 and even the advantage of their own court did not help. Santa Tecla F1 held Santa Tecla Elite to an opponent 20.0 percent shooting from the field compared to 50.8 percent accuracy of the winners. Santa Tecla F1 forced 28 Santa Tecla Elite turnovers and outrebounded them 38-27 including 28 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists comparing to just 5 passes made by Santa Tecla Elite's players. It was a great evening for guard Fabiola Garcia (163-2000, college: Agnes Scott) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 18 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists. Point guard Andrea Garcia (160-1998) helped adding 18 points and 4 assists. Four Santa Tecla F1 players scored in double figures. Forward Silvia Perez (158-2002) responded with 10 points and Nicole Suvillaga (169-1996) scored 2 points and 9 rebounds. Santa Tecla Elite's coach gave up on the game allowing to play eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Defending champion maintains second place with 7-2 record having just one point less than leader Panteras. Santa Tecla Elite at the other side keeps the fourth position with four games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
