Regular Season Round 4: Felix Perez - Malvin 66-80

The most crucial game of the last round was the first loss of undefeated Paraguayan Felix Perez (0-1) in Asuncion on Friday night. Hosts were defeated by Uruguayan Malvin (1-0) 80-66. It was a key game for the top position in the league. The game was mostly controlled by Malvin. Felix Perez managed to win third quarter 21-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Worth to mention a great performance of Colombian forward Jenifer Munoz (170-1991) who helped to win the game recording 33 points (!!!) and 6 rebounds. Argentinian Maria Jourdheuil (180-1994) contributed with 17 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. American center Kourtni Perry (188-1993, college: Central St.) replied with 9 points and 16 rebounds and Latvian guard Ilze Jakobsone (168-1994) added 23 points and 4 assists in the effort for Felix Perez. Malvin keeps a position of league leader, which they share with Univ.de Chile. Defending Paraguayan champion Felix Perez still closes the standings with one game lost. They share the position with Obras. Malvin is looking forward to face Obras (#4) in Buenos Aires in the next round. Felix Perez will play on the road against the league's second-placed Univ.de Chile in Santiago and hopes to get finally their first victory.
