Regular Season Round 10: Chalchuapa - Cojute 86-126

Undefeated leader Cojute delivered the ninth consecutive victory. This time they crushed bottom-ranked Chalchuapa (0-8) 126-86. Cojute dominated down low during the game scoring 90 of its points in the paint compared to Chalchuapa's 70 and made 21-of-24 charity shots (87.5 percent) during the game. They outrebounded Chalchuapa 58-42 including a 41-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. Cojute players were unselfish on offense dishing 30 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Jeremy Agosto (177-1997) who helped to win the game recording a triple-double by scoring 44 points (!!!), 10 rebounds and 13 assists. The other American import Nick Moore (198-1991, college: Alliance) contributed with a double-double by scoring 18 points, 19 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Four Cojute players scored in double figures. Cojute's coach felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Naturalized Puerto Rican swingman Miguel Velez (185-1997, college: Hartnell JC) replied with 44 points (!!!) and 7 rebounds and American forward Markos Samuels (196, college: Arkansas Bapt.) added 13 points, 14 rebounds and 7 assists in the effort for Chalchuapa. Cojute (9-0) have an impressive nine-game winning streak. They maintain first position with a perfect record of 9 victories in a row. Chalchuapa at the other side still closes the standings with eight games lost.
