There was no surprise in San Luis Potosi where 5th ranked Halcones Rojos (8-10) were outplayed by second ranked Santos (10-8) 82-57 on Wednesday. Santos outrebounded Halcones Rojos 43-31 including 33 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was international point guard Omar De Haro (188-1995) who scored 22 points (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). American-Puerto Rican power forward Timajh Parker-Rivera (202-1994, college: Towson) chipped in 17 points and 5 rebounds. Bahamas forward Tavario Miller (203-1994, college: Texas A&M) produced a double-double by scoring 14 points and 14 rebounds and American point guard Quade Green (183-1998, college: Washington, agency: Octagon Europe) added 11 points and 6 assists respectively for the guests. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Despite that victory Santos went down to third position due to points difference. Loser Halcones Rojos keep the fifth place with ten games lost. They share the position with Mineros. Santos will meet Mineros (#6) in the next round. Halcones Rojos will play against Soles and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
