The game between closely ranked teams ended with fourth ranked Plateros' (11-9) home victory over 5th ranked Halcones Rojos (8-12) 92-85 on Thursday. The former international center Joshua Ibarra (211-1995, college: HCU) fired a double-double by scoring 20 points and 13 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winners. Puerto Rican swingman David Huertas (196-1987, college: Ole Miss) chipped in 22 points. Plateros' coach used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Venezuelan center Nestor Colmenares (200-1987, college: Campbellsville, agency: Pro Sports) produced a double-double by scoring 14 points and 16 rebounds and American point guard Quade Green (183-1998, college: Washington, agency: Octagon Europe) added 26 points and 5 assists respectively for lost side. Five Plateros and four Halcones Rojos players scored in double figures. Plateros have an impressive five-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place, which they share with Panteras. Loser Halcones Rojos dropped to the sixth position with 12 games lost. Plateros will meet Soles (#6) in the next round. Halcones Rojos will play against Correcaminos and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
