No shocking result in a game in Managua where fifth rankedLeones (16-8) smashed bottom-ranked Rivas (2-20) 110-63 on Saturday. Leones dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to Rivas ' 46. They outrebounded Rivas 51-31 including a 34-21 advantage in offensive rebounds. Leones looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists comparing to just 15 passes made by Rivas ' players. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Leones made 7 blocks. Worth to mention a great performance of Venezuelan-Colombian center Michael Hinestroza (210-1990, college: UALR) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 15 points and 12 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) and Colombian center Chyse Webster (204-2000) who added 11 points and 10 rebounds during the contest. Four Leones players scored in double figures. Leones' coach felt very confident that he used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. At the losing side Felix Ramos (-2003) responded with 16 points and 8 rebounds and center Geovanny Perez (-1989) scored 14 points and 7 rebounds. Leones moved-up to fourth place. Rivas lost twelfth consecutive game. They stay dead last with 20 lost games.
