Abejas dominated down low during the game scoring 68 of its points in the paint compared to Santos ' 46. Abejas players were unselfish on offense dishing 26 assists. American Markeith Cummings (198-1988, college: KSU) stepped up and scored 39 points (!!!) and 9 rebounds for the winners and naturalized Puerto Rican guard Joseph Soto (190-1993) chipped in 8 points, 7 rebounds and 11 assists. Four Abejas players scored in double figures. Puerto Rican forward Josue Erazo (203-1995, college: PR-Rio Piedras) responded with 29 points and 5 rebounds and American-Dominican guard Adonys Henriquez (201-1994, college: St.Louis, agency: BMS Sport Agency) scored 28 points (was perfect 11-for-11 from the free throw line !!!). Santos' coach let to play ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game.
