Regular Season Round 4: Mambas - Immortals 76-77

Date: November 18, 2023
The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Mambas (6-2) in Santiago. Hosts were edged by Immortals (6-2) 77-76. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Mambas. It was a key game for the top position in the league. They outrebounded Mambas 33-16. The winners were led by American point guard Mark Hall (196-1994, college: St.Cloud St.) who scored that evening 21 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists and point guard Kelvin Tavarez (187-1999) supported him with 20 points and 4 assists. Hall is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Even 20 points by Victor Torres (189-1995) did not help to save the game for Mambas. Wilbert Valdez added 20 points for lost side. Four Mambas players scored in double figures. Immortals have an impressive five-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with defeated Mambas. Immortals' supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Santiago to the arena CPN.
