An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Esteli. Third ranked MexicanHalcones UV Xalapa faced second-ranked Nicaraguan Real Esteli . Guests from Xalapa (1-2) smashed host Real Esteli (2-2) 104-79 . Halc.Xalapa players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. Argentinian forward Alexis Elsener (195-1988, agency: Interperformances) orchestrated the victory by scoring 20 points and 4 assists. American forward Jordan Glynn (200-1989, college: SF Austin) contributed with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Elsener is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Halcones UV Xalapa's coach felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Cuban-Puerto Rican center Ismael Romero (205-1991) answered with 25 points and 8 rebounds and American point guard Tu Holloway (183-1989, college: Xavier) added 16 points and 10 assists (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line) in the effort for Real Esteli. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Halcones UV Xalapa maintains third place with 1-2 record behind leader Sesi Franca. Real Esteli at the other side keeps the second position with two games lost. They share it with Obras and Hebraica.
