The most exciting game of round 3 in the BEBL took place in San Pedro. This derby game ended with only two-point home defeat ofTiger Sharks (1-3) to Western Ballaz (1-1) 88-86 on Sunday evening. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Western Ballaz made 8 blocks. It was a good game for American swingman Mark Gordon (196, college: Keiser) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 28 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists. James Weatherspoon contributed with a double-double by scoring 28 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. American Richard Laku (206-1997, college: CSUSB) answered with 32 points and 7 rebounds and the former international guard Daniel Conorque (193-1991, college: Pima CC) added 17 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Tiger Sharks. Four Tiger Sharks players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game.
