Not a big story in a game when bottom-rankedLeon (0-12) was rolled over at home by eighteenth ranked Bonanza (3-8) 120-89 on Saturday. Bonanza dominated down low during the game scoring 88 of its points in the paint compared to Leon 's 50. Bonanza forced 26 Leon turnovers and outrebounded them 66-37 including a 29-9 advantage in offensive rebounds. Rommel Solorzano fired a double-double by scoring 23 points and 13 rebounds for the winners. Guard Jairo Pineda (-2001) chipped in a double-double by scoring 12 points and 14 rebounds. Four Bonanza players scored in double figures. Carlos Valdivia produced a double-double by scoring 36 points (!!!), 14 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals and Australian guard Joel Wagner (181-1987) added 20 points and 5 steals respectively for lost side. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Bonanza maintains eighteenth position with 3-8 record. Loser Leon still closes the standings with 12 games lost.
