Not a big story in a game when 15th rankedCerrado (8-21) was edged on the road by tenth ranked Sao Jose (16-14) 71-69 on Wednesday. However just two-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. The hosts trailed by 5 points at the halftime before their 20-11 charge in the third quarter, which allowed them to win the game. Strangely Cerrado outrebounded Sao Jose 43-31 including 16 on the offensive glass. The best player for the winners was Venezuelan guard Pedro Chourio (196-1990, agency: Pro Sports) who scored 21 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists. Victor Leal (203-1996) chipped in 17 points. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward Daviyon Draper (201-1994, college: FIU) who recorded 25 points and 7 rebounds and power forward Maicon Waldemar (205-2000) added 10 points and 9 rebounds respectively. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Sao Jose moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Cearense. Cerrado lost third consecutive game. They keep the fifteenth position with 21 games lost.
