Very significant wasBatanecas ' (#2, 6-2) victory against 4th placed LMMR 2 (3-4) 90-70 . Batanecas dominated down low during the game scoring 68 of its points in the paint compared to LMMR 2 's 40. They outrebounded LMMR 2 51-29 including a 36-21 advantage in defensive rebounds. Batanecas looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. It was a great evening for Cuban center Rachel Contreras (184-1999) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!) and 21 rebounds. Cuban guard Maria Montero (176-1998) helped adding 11 points and 13 assists. Five Batanecas players scored in double figures. At the losing side guard Vanessa Hernandez (157-1997) responded with 27 points and 6 assists and Cuban point guard Dairis Tornell (176-1992) scored 21 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Batanecas maintains second place with 6-2 record behind leader San Salvador. LMMR 2 at the other side keeps the fourth position with four games lost.
