Regular Season Round 12: La Libertad - Carazo 78-89

There was a small surprise in Juigalpa where eleventh rankedCarazo (8-7) won against 8th ranked La Libertad (8-6) 89-78 on Saturday. Carazo well out of reach of La Libertad shooting 92.5 percent from the field. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. The best player for the winners was the former international guard Armando Martinez (190-1988) who had a double-double by scoring 15 points and 18 assists (perfect from the field making all six shots). Luis Jarquin (-1994) chipped in 28 points (on 12-of-13 shooting from the field). Carazo's coach used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was forward Kevin Leiva who recorded 29 points and 4 assists (perfect from the field making all twelve shots !!!) and Erling Lopez (-1994) added 15 points (perfect from the field making all seven shots !!!) respectively. Five Carazo and four La Libertad players scored in double figures. Carazo moved-up to tenth place. Loser La Libertad dropped to the ninth position with six games lost.
