Seventh-rankedFantasmas (2-7) gave a tough game to third ranked Salvadorenos (7-2) in San Vicente on Tuesday. The visitors from San Salvador managed to secure only three-point victory 87-84 . However their fans expected much easier game. Salvadorenos dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Fantasmas ' 44. Power forward Brayan Garcia (194-1998) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 15 rebounds for the winners and Dominican center Rodolfo Espinal (208-1998) chipped in 17 points and 12 rebounds. Four Salvadorenos players scored in double figures. Salvadorenos' coach Sergio Rouco used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. The best for the losing side was American point guard Darius Daniels (178-1997) with 38 points (!!!), 8 rebounds and 4 assists and the other American import Nick Moore (198-1991, college: Alliance) scored 9 points and 16 rebounds. Salvadorenos have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Santa Ana and Metapan. Fantasmas lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the seventh position with seven games lost. They share it with Brujos and A.Lobos.
