Rather expected game when 5th rankedOsos (2-4) lost to second ranked Criollos (4-1) in Manati 100-109 on Tuesday. Caguas made 26-of-30 free shots (86.7 percent) during the game. Caguas outrebounded Manati 41-28 including 16 on the offensive glass. Caguas looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. It was an exceptional evening for American forward Louis King (201-1999, college: Oregon) who led the winners and scored 21 points and 7 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field). His fellow American import point guard Travis Trice II (183-1993, college: Michigan St.) accounted for 15 points and 12 assists (made all of his eleven free throws !!!) for the winning side. Criollos' coach Wilhelmus Caanen used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. The former international Chris Ortiz (203-1993, college: Kent St.) came up with 30 points and 8 rebounds and American guard Alex Morales (198-1997, college: Wagner) added 20 points and 8 assists respectively for Manati in the defeat. Five Caguas and four Manati players scored in double figures. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Criollos . Caguas maintains second place with 4-1 record behind leader Mayaguez. Manati lost their fourth game in a row. They keep the fifth position with four games lost. They share it with Carolina.
