Not a big story in a game in Caguas where 6th rankedLeones (4-7) were rolled over by first ranked Criollos (10-3) 113-71 on Sunday. Caguas outrebounded Ponce 47-26 including a 38-22 advantage in defensive rebounds. Caguas looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists comparing to just 13 passes made by Ponce 's players. The best player for the winners was American forward Louis King (201-1999, college: Oregon) who had a double-double by scoring 22 points and 12 rebounds. The other American import point guard Travis Trice II (183-1993, college: Michigan St.) chipped in a double-double by scoring 14 points and 12 assists. Naturalized Nicaraguan Jared Ruiz (188-1992) produced 13 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists and American forward Jamil Wilson (201-1990, college: Marquette) added 13 points and 5 rebounds respectively for the guests. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Caguas maintains first position with 10-3 record. Ponce lost third consecutive game. They keep the sixth place with seven games lost.
