Important game to mention about took place in Manati. First rankedCriollos (13-9) saved a 3-point victory on the road edging 4th placed Osos (11-14) 111-108 on Saturday evening. Caguas made 24-of-30 charity shots (80.0 percent) during the game. Manati was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. It was an exceptional evening for American point guard Travis Trice II (183-1993, college: Michigan St.) who led the winners and scored 40 points (!!!), 5 rebounds and 4 assists. His fellow American import guard John Jenkins (193-1991, college: Vanderbilt) accounted for 26 points and 5 rebounds for the winning side. Mali power forward Cheick Diallo (206-1996, college: Kansas) came up with a double-double by scoring 26 points and 14 rebounds (perfect from the field making all eleven shots !!!) and American guard Alex Morales (198-1997, college: Wagner) added 26 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for Manati in the defeat. Four Manati players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Despite that victory Caguas went down to second position due to points difference. Manati lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the fifth place with 14 games lost.
