A very close game took place in Veracruz betweenRojas and Santas . Fourth ranked Rojas (7-6) got a very close home victory over 8th ranked Santas (4-9). Rojas managed to escape with a 1-point win 52-51 on Friday evening. It was a great evening for American swingman Naomi Davenport (180, college: WVU) who led her team to a victory scoring 9 points and 5 rebounds. The former international point guard Hazel Ramirez (165-1992, college: LMU) helped adding 11 points. At the losing side American guard Aniya Thomas (170-2000, college: Missouri St.) responded with 11 points and 9 rebounds and the other American import forward LaDazhia Williams (193-1998, college: LSU) scored 11 points and 6 rebounds. Rojas maintains fourth place with 7-6 record. Newly promoted Santas keep the eighth position with nine games lost.
