An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Arecibo. First rankedCapitanes faced 3rd placed Indios . Host Capitanes (21-8) defeated guests from Mayaguez (13-12) 98-91 . Arecibo made 28-of-30 free shots (93.3 percent) during the game, while Mayaguez only scored eleven points from the stripe. It was a great evening for Nigerian-American center Jahlil Okafor (211-1995, college: Duke) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 28 points and 13 rebounds (went 12 for 12 at the free throw line !!!). Dominican Victor Liz (190-1986, agency: BMS Sport Agency) helped adding 19 points and 9 rebounds. Five Capitanes players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was the former international point guard Jorge Pacheco (188-1998, college: Liberty) with 19 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and American power forward Diamond Stone (208-1997, college: Maryland) scored 16 points and 7 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Arecibo maintains first place with 21-8 record. Loser Indios keeps the third position with 12 games lost.
