Regatas was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. The winners were led by guard Nicolas Copello (193-1992) who scored that evening 24 points and Uruguayan-Italian swingman Nicola Pomoli (195-1999) supported him with 15 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Instituto players scored in double figures. Even 25 points and 8 rebounds by point guard Andres Jaime (184-2000) did not help to save the game forRegatas . American power forward Charles Thomas (203-1986, college: Arkansas) added 14 points and 10 rebounds for lost side. Regatas' coach Fernando Calvi tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game.
