There was a small surprise in Potosi where eighth rankedSantas (4-9) defeated 5th ranked Panteras (6-7) 88-78 on Thursday. Santas made 18-of-20 free shots (90.0 percent) during the game. The game was also dominated by American players. It was a great evening for forward Shaiquel McGruder (183-1999, college: N.Mexico) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds. Guard Aniya Thomas (170-2000, college: Missouri St.) helped adding 20 points and 6 assists. At the losing side forward Tinara Moore (189-1996, college: CMU) responded with 17 points and 5 rebounds and guard Taylor Wurtz (183-1990, college: Wisconsin) scored 13 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Panteras' coach tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Newly promoted Santas maintains eighth place with 4-9 record. Loser Panteras keep the fifth position with seven games lost.
