Rather predictable result in Quebradillas where third ranked Piratas (16-18) beat 6th ranked Atleticos (13-20) 118-109 on Sunday. Quebradillas made 23-of-28 free shots (82.1 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. It was a great evening for DR Congolese point guard Emmanuel Mudiay (196-1996) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 36 points (!!!), 6 rebounds and 15 assists (made all of his nine free throws !!!). American center Tai Odiase (206-1995, college: UIC) helped adding 33 points (!!!) and 13 rebounds. At the losing side American point guard Nate Mason (188-1995, college: Minnesota) responded with a double-double by scoring 18 points, 9 rebounds and 14 assists and Australian swingman Mitch Creek (196-1992) scored 36 points (!!!). Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Atleticos' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Quebradillas moved-up to second place. Loser Atleticos keeps the sixth position with 20 games lost.
