The most surprising game was the first loss of undefeatedReales (7-1) in La Romana on Saturday night. Visitors were defeated by fifth ranked Caneros (5-3) 98-94 . It may be a crucial game in the contest for the top position in the league. Caneros looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. It was a good game for Yeison Colome (190-1996, agency: BMS Sport Agency) who led his team to a victory with 31 points and 5 assists. Point guard Raimer Santana (183-1997, agency: BMS Sport Agency) contributed with 16 points and 7 assists for the winners. American guard Nahziah Carter (198-1999, college: Washington, agency: BMS Sport Agency) replied with 20 points and 4 assists and his fellow American import point guard Quade Green (183-1998, college: Washington, agency: Octagon Europe) added 16 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists and 5 steals (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line) in the effort for Reales. Five Caneros and four Reales players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Caneros have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Marineros. Defending champion Reales still keep top position with one game lost.
