Rather expected game when 6th rankedMetros (4-6) lost to third ranked Marineros (5-3) in Puerto Plata 72-86 on Sunday. U.S. Virgin Islands power forward Rakeem Christmas (206-1991, college: Syracuse) notched 19 points and 8 rebounds to lead the effort and swingman Jonatan Bello (195-2001, agency: BMS Sport Agency) supported him with 6 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists. Even a double-double of 22 points and 11 rebounds by American forward Emmitt Williams (198-1998, college: LSU, agency: BMS Sport Agency) did not help to save the game for Metros . His fellow American import guard SirJabari Rice (193-1998, college: Texas) added 21 points. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Marineros have an impressive five-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Caneros. Loser Metros keep the sixth position with six games lost.
