There was no surprise in Santo Domingo where 8th rankedLeones (2-10) were defeated by fourth ranked Marineros (6-6) 82-78 on Tuesday. Marineros made 29-of-38 free shots (76.3 percent) during the game, while Leones only scored twelve points from the stripe. Worth to mention a great performance of American Jared Wilson-Frame (196-1996, college: Pittsburgh, agency: Interperformances) who helped to win the game recording 19 points and U.S. Virgin Islands power forward Rakeem Christmas (206-1991, college: Syracuse) who added 8 points and 13 rebounds during the contest. Angel Puello (, agency: BMS Sport Agency) responded with 14 points and 9 rebounds and American forward Emmitt Holt (201-1996, college: Providence) scored 15 points. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Despite that victory Marineros went down to fifth position due to points difference, which they share with Indios. Loser Leones stay at the bottom place with ten games lost.
