Rather expected game in Puerto Plata where 7th rankedSoles (3-11) were crushed by fifth ranked Marineros (7-7) 87-68 on Friday. Marineros looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Swingman Braynt De La Cruz (198-2002, agency: BMS Sport Agency) fired a double-double by scoring 16 points and 17 rebounds for the winners. American Jared Wilson-Frame (196-1996, college: Pittsburgh, agency: Interperformances) chipped in 23 points. Manuel Guzman (204-1982, college: Bemidji St.) produced 21 points and 6 rebounds and naturalized American Luis Martinez (198-1984, college: William Pater.) added 7 points and 9 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Despite that victory Marineros went down to sixth position due to points difference. Soles lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the seventh place with 11 games lost.
