Regular Season Round 7: LMMR 2 - Ahuachapan 118-55

Bottom-rankedAhuachapan (0-7) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 118-55 loss to sixth ranked LMMR 2 (3-5) in Santa Ana. They dominated down low during the game scoring 100 of its points in the paint compared to Ahuachapan 's 44. LMMR 2 forced 32 Ahuachapan turnovers and outrebounded them 62-32 including a 27-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of Cuban Eugenia Fraguela (-1996) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 37 points (!!!) and 19 rebounds. Liset Valdes contributed with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 22 rebounds for the winners. Four LMMR 2 players scored in double figures. LMMR 2's coach Alexander Colocho felt very confident using entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Cuban point guard Dairis Tornell (176-1992) answered with 35 points (!!!) and 5 rebounds and Cecilia Laguan (-1998) added 6 points and 10 rebounds in the effort for Ahuachapan. LMMR 2 maintains sixth place with 3-5 record. Ahuachapan lost their seventh game in a row. They still close the standings with seven games lost.
