Criollos de Caguas celebrated BSN title. They rallied past Osos de Manati in the decisive seventh game of the championship series. The hosts trailed by 1 point after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 4-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 96-81.Caguas looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of Panamanian-American center Akil Mitchell (206-1992, college: Virginia) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 17 points, 15 rebounds and 4 assists. The former international Alexander Kappos (208-1997, college: Dalhousie) contributed with 22 points for the winners. American guard Alex Morales (198-1997, college: Wagner) answered with 25 points and 8 rebounds and Mali power forward Cheick Diallo (206-1996, college: Kansas) added 12 points and 10 rebounds in the effort for Manati. Five Caguas and four Manati players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
