Everything could happen in Morovis at the game between two tied teams. Both third rankedMontaneras and 5th ranked Moca had identical 6-4 record. This time Montaneras used a home court advantage and beat the opponent from Moca 87-80 on Tuesday night. Morovis made 16-of-17 free shots (94.1 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 31 assists comparing to just 16 passes made by Moca 's players. American players dominated the game. The winners were led by guard Chelsea Mitchell (175-1997, college: Morgan St., agency: LBM Management) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 21 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists and forward Asia Strong (188-2000, college: Syracuse) supported her with 25 points and 4 assists. Strong is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Montaneras' coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Even 25 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists by guard Leigha Brown (185-2000, college: Michigan) did not help to save the game for Moca . Forward Alexis Jennings (190-1996, college: S.Carolina) added 26 points and 6 rebounds (went 10 for 10 at the free throw line !!!). Five Morovis and four Moca players scored in double figures. Morovis (7-4) moved-up to second place, which they share with Manati. Newly promoted Moca dropped to the fourth position with five games lost.
