Regular Season Round 15: Moca - San German 80-97

There was a small surprise when eighth rankedAthleticas (5-10) beat on the road 5th ranked Moca (7-7) 97-80 on Saturday. San German looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. American players dominated the game. It was an exceptional evening for power forward Sidney Cooks (193-1998, college: Seton Hall) who led the winners and scored 42 points (!!!) and 9 rebounds. Guard Geovana Rios (168, college: LMU) accounted for 12 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists for the winning side. Four Athleticas players scored in double figures. Forward Asia Taylor (188-1991, college: Louisville) came up with a double-double by scoring 29 points and 17 rebounds and forward Alexis Jennings (190-1996, college: S.Carolina) added 24 points and 10 rebounds respectively for Moca in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Newly promoted San German maintains eighth place with 5-10 record. Moca at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the fifth position with seven games lost.
